I recently had the pleasure of working with Mellon, Johnson & Reardon to help with their re-branding. They needed some new, fresh and modern headshots for their website and marketing materials… a task I was very happy to help them out with! I would also like to thank MJR for the creative licence they gave me in setting this up. There is nothing better than a client who trusts you to do what you do… and has FUN doing it!

The photos were integrated into their new site so well… I love it!

A couple days after we shot Emily & Adam’s amazing NYE wedding, we headed out with another amazing couple to shoot their engagement photos. Gina & Damon will be getting married in just a couple short weeks and I can’t wait to shoot their wedding! One – They are amazing, gorgeous, and overall AWESOME poeple. Two – The wedding is in CANCUN, Mexico!

For their engagement photos, Gina found us another amazing location! The Hotel at Kirkwood in Cedar Rapids, IA. I will admit… I didn’t expect to walk into this little gem, being placed out in the middle of nothing but corn fields and farms. We were so pleasantly surprised and, let me tell ya, I could’ve shot for days in this place! Very simple, clean, modern… it was a perfect fit for the way I like to shoot!

We started off in a lounge near the lobby and worked our way towards the back of the hotel. Every corner we turned ended up stopping me for a new shot. Lots of giant windows with gorgeous natural light pouring in. Basically, the hardest part of this shoot was deciding where to shoot next!

Sooo… without further adieu, on to the photos!! Gina, Damon… I can’t thank you enough for choosing us to photograph such an important time in your lives. It’s truly a privilege and we are very much looking forward to seeing you in Cancun in a couple weeks!

I hope everyone is off to a great 2012 already! I know I am. I got to ring in the new year with some amazing people in Iowa. Emily & Adam tied the knot in Coralville, Iowa on New Year’s Eve, and let me tell ya… We had a BLAST! It was such a well planned, relaxed and fun day and we always love to come out to visit our new little family that has grown in Iowa over the past couple years. One of the greatest things about photography is that you get to meet such awesome people and kick off amazing friendships in the process. I am actually hoping to get back out there this spring to shoot a lot more! So, if you wanted to book a session, do so now! The time will fill up quickly!!

Anyway… on to the photos! Emily & Adam… you guys looked amazing and I can not thank you enough for having Heather and I come out to cover all the nuptial goodness. You guys rock and we can’t wait to see you soon in Cancun for… you guessed it… another WEDDING!  =)
